When you know the weather is not the greatest and you have to stay indoors make sure you have healthy food provisions so you can make yourself some comforting healthy food.  Have some books you have been wanting

to read on hand.  Make sure your cell is charged just in case.  Also have a thermos of tea and a thermos of soup just in case the electricity goes out.

Taste of Cambodia Ingredients

Beef  500 g top sirloin steak

Dressing

juice from 2 limes, 2 tbsp Thai fish sauce 1 tbsp sugar, 1 tbsp chopped or grated ginger, 1 or 2 thai chilli peppers and 1 stalk lemongrass, finely chopped combine in a food processor and blend well.

salad

1 cup chopped green beans, steamed, 1 cup of bean sprouts rinsed. 2-3 shallots, thinly sliced, 1/2 cup of roughly  torn mint leaves, 4-5 springs cilantro, rough chopped, 3 tbsp finely sliced Thai basil, 1/2 cup chopped unsalted roasted peanuts, 3 spring onions chopped,

directions

1) season steak with salt and pepper. Pan fry to medium rare. set aside for 10 min

2. slice steak into strips

3) in a large bowl, toss steak, its juices, and dressing

4) Add salad ingredients to steak and toss well

5) taste and adjust for a balance between salty fish sauce, sweet sugar, sour limes and spicy peppers
