Practice

. The repeated performance or systematic exercise for the purpose of acquiring skill or proficiency.

I assert practice matters. It is said that we need to 10,000 hrs. of practice to master something. That’s approximately 5 years if we continue to practice on a daily basis So why do we expect mastery when we are learning a new skill etc? Have patience be gentle with oneself as we learn and grow.

Are your habits in alignment with your goals or what you say you are committed to? Do you have daily rituals morning and night? Those routines will certainly help ground you and they will not actually produce the results you want to have happened.

The habit of morning and evening rituals are great for grounding us. Those rituals will not have us produce the results we want unless we create daily habits to follow in between those rituals. We also need to practice taking the right actions daily continuously, consistently over a period of time to produce the results we want. We have to learn habits to interrupt the negative conversations so that those conversations do not stop us from regularly producing the results we want.

Are your daily actions in alignment with what you say you are committed to? If you are not producing the results you say you want stop. Check in with yourself. Do you have advisors, a coach a colleague that you can regularly check in so you can back on track quickly?

Are you letting negative or disempowering conversations stop you from achieving what you want? What habit can you create so you can interrupt the negative and get empowered quickly to move forward? What structure can you put in place to create new habits that have you quickly in action striving to produce the result you say you want to achieve? I assert that the habits and the actions you take in between the daily rituals will have you achieving the victory you want. Check it out. Ask yourself are your actions and speaking in alignment with what you are committed to? Look at what are the habitual patterns that have that commitment thwarted?  Are you willing to take responsibility for when it doesn’t go that way you want or the way you expected and clean up your part? Are you willing to let go of Expectations of yourself and others?  What are you not being truthful about to yourself and others.

Our thoughts can be like a junk drawer-we need to take inventory and get rid of what is  not useful! (wendy b)
