Alter your perceptions and you will alter your actions.The other day i came home and i saw what looked like 3 white paint spots on my rug. I knew there was one but to have two more meant someone had been in my apartment while i was away.. At first I was fearful, then i became angry. Then I questioned is this really white paint. My Landlords are trustworthy and i hated to shift that perception. When i put my hand over the two other spots they seemed to disappear, then reappear again. Then i noticed it was a shadow that made them disappear. Then i looked up and saw the blinds had two little spots of white light shining through that gave an appearance of white paint on my rug. When i closed the blinds the two extra spots of white paint disappeared. For five minutes i swore there was extra paint on my rug. If i had taken action correlate to that perception I would have taken actions that made someone at fault for something that wasn’t true. Fortunately it got figured out quickly. How often in life do you see something and rarely question your thoughts about what you perceive?

Ask yourself are your actions and speaking in alignment with what you are committed to? Look at what are the habitual patterns that have that commitment thwarted? Are you willing to take responsibility for when it doesn’t go that way you want or the way you expected and clean up your part? Are you willing to let go of Expectations of yourself and others? What are you not being truthful about to yourself and others.
Our thoughts can be like a junk drawer-we need to take inventory and get rid of what is not useful! (wendy b)
